About Auror Engineering

• Ship code to production constantly: Our product team ships code to production on average at least 10-15 times a day prioritising small releases and short feedback cycles and we do this with a minimal defect rate.
• Work on cloud native architecture: We focus on delivering business value to customers, without the burden of maintaining complex infrastructure
• Work on innovative and up to date tech stacks: We are constantly evolving our technology stack inline with the needs of our business, leveraging React and Typescript for front-end and C# / Dotnet for back end. We host our services in Azure and utilise a wide range of cloud-native services with an evolving service-oriented architecture.
• Contribute to our product: We work with Product Management and Product Design from the very beginning to make sure we’re delivering value to our customers and making a meaningful impact.
• Supports a coaching culture: Together, we support one another to level up
• Continuously improve: We are relentless about getting better and improving our processes, tooling and tech stack.

• Design and build a new service in C#/.NET, including its data model, API contracts, and integration points with existing systems
• Build a sophisticated, reliable front-end experience in React and TypeScript, working within our established design system and component library, covering dynamic forms, conditional logic, validation, autosave, and clear error handling
• Make the new capability available to a range of clients, including our public API
• Develop automated tests across the stack, covering front-end behaviour, API validation, permissions, persistence, and integration with existing systems
• Build in observability and sensible failure recovery from the start
• Break work into safe, valuable increments, and surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early
• Work with Product and Design to turn evolving requirements into clear, incremental releases
• Leave the codebase, patterns, and documentation in a state the permanent team can pick up without you

• Genuine full stack capability. Strong C#/.NET is strongly preferred, and you can reason confidently about APIs, service boundaries, asynchronous workflows, and data flows
• Deep React and TypeScript experience, building sophisticated production applications within an established design system and component library rather than introducing your own patterns
• Delivery focus. You can take an ambiguous problem, clarify it, break it into increments, and safely ship working software within a fixed timeframe
• Comfortable with semi-formed requirements. You can work from a direction rather than a specification. You go and talk to the people who hold the context, form your own view, and bring it back to get alignment before building. You don't wait to be handed the detail bullet by bullet, and you don't disappear and build the wrong thing either
• Testing and reliability mindset. You build with automated testing, observability, permissions, and data integrity in mind
• Judgement in how you use AI. We use AI-assisted engineering tools here and we expect you to. We also expect you to own everything you ship: no code you can't explain, no tests that pass without testing anything, no documentation that reads like it was generated and never read
• Contract readiness. You onboard quickly, work independently, and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
